Ken Mercer

I'm a second-generation USCG Captain, and my passion for the water and love of detailing have shaped my entire career. I got my start in the detail department of a car manufacturer, and that first job sparked a lifelong commitment to the craft. I became a student of the profession by perfecting the finish on my own vehicles, and that drive carried over to the marine world as I set out to keep my own boat looking its best. Over time, that hands-on dedication turned into true expertise in the space.

In 2022, I joined STARKE Yacht Care and Marine Detail Supply, where I now serve as President of STARKE Yacht Care and in an executive support role for MDSC. Since then, I have held and been responsible for many roles across both companies, and I still do to this day. Based in Southwest Florida, with STARKE Yacht Care & Marine Detail Supply headquartered in Fort Myers, FL, I love sharing what I've learned with others, whether I'm working with a professional detailer, a boat manufacturer, or a boat owner caring for their own vessel.

Beyond day-to-day operations, sales, retail sales, support, new product development and marine training, I also support the marketing team with social media and all marketing programs, helping tell the STARKE story and connect with customers. I continue to help develop new and more efficient ways to support the people who rely on STARKE, from the products they use to the training, technical guidance, and solutions that help them get the best possible results on every job.
