Stage 1 — Heavy Correction & Stock Removal

For leveling orange peel, removing deep scratches, and aggressive surface prep. These discs are built for maximum cut with controlled, predictable grain fracture.

• Starke FORGE — Zirconia/aluminum oxide blend with CoruEdge Technology and an Anti-Load Surface Shield. Rigid core backing for flat, stable contact. P40–P2000, dry sanding.
• Mirka Galaxy Grip — Ceramic grain technology for aggressive, consistent stock removal with less heat buildup and a longer disc life. Dry sanding on gelcoat, paint, and composites.

Stage 2 — Precision Dry Sanding

Open mesh construction keeps the surface clean and the abrasive cutting efficiently — pass after pass, without loading.

• Starke RAZOR — CoruEdge semi-brittle corundum grain that self-renews during use, continuously exposing fresh cutting edges. Available 3", 5", 6" in P80–P1000.
• Mirka Abranet ACE — The benchmark in dust-free sanding. Open net structure channels dust through the disc rather than across the surface, maintaining cut efficiency throughout disc life.

Stage 3 — Wet Sanding & Surface Refinement

For final defect removal and surface prep before polish. Flexible, conforming discs that follow hull geometry and compound curves for even contact on complex marine surfaces.

• Starke MORPH — Knitted fabric-on-foam disc with P-graded silicon carbide, optimized for wet sanding gelcoat, marine paint, and clearcoat. Available P1000–P3000.
• Mirka Abralon — Multifunctional foam-backed disc engineered for wet or dry finishing on curved and irregular surfaces. Delivers a consistent scratch pattern for predictable polish results.

Finishing Tool

• Mirka Dry Guide Coat — Reveals low spots, scratches, and surface imperfections invisible to the naked eye. An essential step before final polish to confirm a truly flat, defect-free surface.
