What order do the Starke compounds go in?
Starke's Surface Restore System runs Quik Sand (pre-cut, only when Level R or Blaze isn't enough), then Level R or Blaze (Step 1 correct, white wool on a rotary), then Elevate (Step 2 refine, yellow wool on rotary or foamed wool/medium foam on a DA), then Finish R for a standard finish or Triple P for ceramic prep.
Level R or Blaze: which heavy cut should I use?
Both are Step 1 compounds run on white wool with a rotary. Level R is built for oxidized gelcoat and marine paint and removes P600–P800 sanding scratches. Blaze is aimed at surfaces coming off a sanding step or Quik Sand, buffing out scratches as low as P800 plus heavy oxidation.
Which Starke polish do I use before a ceramic coating?
Triple P is the Step 3 ceramic-prep polish. It removes swirls and adds SiO2 components for better sealant or coating adhesion. Run it on a $ Money Pad or soft foam pad with a dual action polisher, then follow with a Starke coating system or sealant.
Which Starke soap is safe on a ceramic-coated boat?
Ultra Clean SiO2 Soap is the Starke Clean System wash for ceramic-coated boats: pH-neutral, coating-safe, and it deposits silica back into the coating each wash. Pure Clean is the pH-neutral maintenance soap that won't strip waxes, sealants or coatings.
How long do Starke polymer sealants last?
